Atkins' experience in Hong Kong goes back to 1973 and approximately 640 of our 1,200 staff in the Asia Pacific Region are now based in Hong Kong. These staff provide a conduit for introducing the global capabilities of the Atkins Group into the region while also providing key technical support for our offices throughout China and regionally within Asia Pacific.

In recent years we have played a key role in the planning, design and construction supervision of some of the largest and most complex multi-disciplinary projects in Hong Kong and the region including the Central Reclamation Phase III project, the MTR Corporation's West Island Line, South Island Line and Shatin to Central Link railway lines, Taiwan High Speed Rail and a variety of assignments for Chek Lap Kok International Airport. On behalf of the Hong Kong Government, we are assisting them with projects to upgrade their drainage and sewerage systems and to rehabilitate large portions of the water supply network. In all of these projects we are recognized for the strength of our management and the quality of our technical solutions.

South Island Line ˇV C903 Detailed Design for Ocean Park and Wong Chuk Hang Stations and Viaducts Atkins China has undertaken the detailed design of two elevated stations; Wong Chuk Hang Station (WCH) and Ocean Park Station (OCP) as well as the viaducts that will form the above ground section of the South Island Line East (SIL(E).
