Safety Management for Dubai Metro
(Red & Green Line Project)

Atkins was appointed by JTMJV to provide safety assurance (Preparation of Safety Cases) for the Red and Green Line metro Civil Works and Station Context Planning.

Dubai Metro is a driverless, fully automated metro network in the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai. The Red Line is the first line of the Dubai metro project, being undertaken by Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The Red Line comprise of 29 stations spanning a length of 52.1km; Green Line has a total of 18 stations spanning 17.6km.The project commenced construction work on 21 March 2006 and officially opened the first 10 metro stations on the Red Line on 09 September 2009.

 
     

RAMS Management for Dubai Al Sufouh Transit Project
Atkins was commissioned by the Belhasa Six Construct Limited to provide RAMS Management for the Al Sufouh Transit System Project for the scope of Civil Works and M&E provisions. The Al Sufouh Transit System comprises 13 elevated and at-graded stations and a service depot, and with tramway spanning across 14.5km on Al Sufouh Road from Dubai Marina to the Burj Al Arab and the Mall of the Emirates.

 
     

RAMS Management for Taiwan High Speed Railway
Atkins was appointed to provide a range of system assurance services to the Core and Trackwork Systems for the Taiwan High Speed Rail project. It is currently one of the largest infrastructure projects being undertaken in Asia. The 345km (220mile) line runs between Taipei and Kaohsiung. The service runs at speeds up to 300kph with the potential to achieve a 90-minute journey time.
