Malaysia North & South Double Tracking – Technical Advisory Support
Atkins was appointed by a major Malaysian contracting consortium to support development of a technically compliant tender focussing on railway Electrical and Mechanical systems aspects for the North and South Double Tracking projects totalling 660km of route. The railway systems comprised 25kV traction power, Overhead line System, Signalling System, Telecommunications System, Automatic Fare Collection System and TETRA Trunk Radio System. Atkins additionally supported liaison with potential systems subcontractors, development of cost estimates and operationally feasible arrangements for depot and station areas.
