KCRC West Rail Rules & Procedures Development
KCRC appointed Atkins to lead a core team in the development of rules and procedures documentation for KCRC West Rail. The commission included development of a general set of rules and procedures that could be applied across all of KCRC's railways (West Rail, East Rail and Light Rail). In addition to the West Rail Rule Book, the core team developed the West Rail Contingency Manual, the Train Operations Manual, the Station Control Manual, the Station Operations Manual and the Depot/Control Centre Operations Manual. The commission included peer review of all documentation from Atkins experts in railway operations, safety and human factors.
