Shenzhen Metro Operation Mode Study
Atkins undertook operational assessment as part of a study for the future development planning of Shenzhen Metro, PR China. This included study of network control and management, including evaluation of “big ticket” cost items for inclusion in forward financial planning and whole life costing. Options were evaluated for network integration (between existing, committed and future lines), operational control, interoperability, logistics and resource planning. Benchmarking was undertaken using data from 10 global metros and urban transport networks. A report was delivered providing recommendations for a 25-year strategy for operational control & command, network integration and interoperability.
