TRAFFIC & TRANSPORTATION - TRAFFIC IMPACT ASSESSMENT

Racecourse Facilities Improvement
ACL were appointed as a sub-consultant for Hong Kong Jockey Club to study the enhancement of the facilities in Shatin and Happy Valley Racecourses, including traffic impact assessment for carpark modifications and traffic engineering design for the short term and long term traffic improvements schemes to the internal circulation and external access arrangements, involving transport trade consultation and trial run.

 
     

Ocean Park Hotel Development
ACL were appointed by O cean P ark C orporation to carry out a traffic impact assessment and proving traffic engineering input to the concept design plan for proposed hote l developments at Wong Chuk Hang and Tai Shue Wan , for incorporati o n into the Ocean Park Redevelopment Master Plan.

 
     

URA K3 Development at Cherry Street
ACL were appointed as sub-consultant for URA to provide traffic advice and related input for Master Layout Plan and General Layout Plan submissions including the detailed design of car park layout and arrangements with mechanical car parking and car lifts, vehicular ingress/egress points and pedestrian arrangements and access. A separate traffic and pedestrian report was prepared in support of a dedication statement to BD for bonus concession by dedication of passageway.

 
     

Tram Track Reconstruction
ACL were appointed by Hongkong Tramways Limited to carry out traffic impact assessment s and temporary traffic management schemes design for the reconstruction of tram tracks at various critical locations along the system, including problematic junctions at Kennedy Town , Sai Ying Pun, Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay , North Point and Shau Kei Wan.

 
     

Traffic Impact Assessment for Railway Projects
ACL have been appointed by MTRC and KCRC to undertake the design of numerous major railway projects in Hong Kong including West Rail DD300, Light Rail DD220, Kowloon Southern Link KDC200, Tseung Kwan O Extension C602, Sha Tin to Central Link SDC300, SEC400, SDC700, North Island Link, and currently the West Island Line and Express Rail Link, etc., involving passenger flow analysis, station sizing, transport planning, traffic impact assessment, temporary traffic management and permanent transport facilities.

 
     

Traffic Impact Assessment for Housing Sites
ACL have been appointed by PlanD/CEDD to undertake the Planning, Development and Engineering Feasibility Studies of numerous major development projects delivering housing sites, including Hong Kong Island South and Lamma Island Study, Housing Development to the North of Pamela Youde Hospital, Redevelopment of Mount Davis Cottage Area and Kennedy Town Police Married Quarters, etc., involving traffic forecast, transport planning studies, traffic impact assessments and pedestrian planning.

 
     

Traffic Impact Assessment for Developments
ACL have been appointed by ArchSD to undertake traffic impact assessments for numerous government development projects including North Lantau Hospital, Redevelopment of Prince of Wales Hospital, General Outpatient Clinic at Tin Shui Wai Area 109, Tin Shui Wai Public Library cum Indoor Recreational Centre, Ecological Park at Tso Kung Tam Valley, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park Phase 2 and Sun Yat-sen Museum at 7 Castle Road, involving studies on access arrangement, parking provision, pedestrian facilities, construction and operational traffic impacts.

 
     

Construction Traffic Impact Assessment
ACL have proven track record in undertaking Construction Traffic Impact Assessment for infrastructures and utilities projects; project include HyD's Central Kowloon Route and Choi Hung Road Widening, DSD's Upgrading of Central and East Kowloon Sewerage, Kowloon City Sewage Interception Scheme and Aberdeen, Ap Lei Chau an Pok Fu Lam Sewerage, WSD's Replacement and Rehabilitation of Water Mains and Improvement to Central Mid-Level and High Level Areas Water Supply, etc.
