Dubai Metro
Atkins are providing CAD Management support for this project which initially involved reviewing the projects existing CAD procedures which utilized CAD remotely and radically changing these procedures to integrate CAD into the core project team based in Dubai and utilizing CAD as an integral project coordination tool. Atkins also developed a project CAD manual and set of CAD procedures that facilitate coordination and efficient drawing production. Atkins continue to provide day to day CAD Management and coordination support to this project.

Atkins are also providing CAD production services for this project which involves producing architectural, building services, civil, railway and structural construction drawings. The construction drawings are being produced in Atkins offices throughout the world from The Middle East to Hong Kong and the UK using AutoCAD and Microstation CAD software.

Gautrain
South Africa 's Gautrain is an 80km rapid rail link between Johannesburg , Pretoria and OR Tambo International Airport. Construction of the first phase between the OR Tambo International Airport and Sandton in Johannesburg is scheduled to be complete by June 2010, in time for the Football World Cup. The remainder of the network is scheduled for completion by March 2011. The full 80-kilometre route will have three anchor stations - at the airport and in central Johannesburg and Pretoria - and seven other stations: at Rosebank, Sandton and Marlboro in Johannesburg, at Rhodesfield in Kempton Park, at Centurion and Hatfield in Pretoria, and at Midrand between the two cities.

Atkins is providing CAD Management support to Bombardier, one of the companies that makes up the Bombela Consortium responsible for building and running the railway. This has involved reviewing Bombardiers existing CAD procedures which intends utilising CAD remotely in their Canada Office and recommending that CAD is integrated into the core project team based in South Africa where CAD can be used as an integral coordination tool which will lead to the delivery of a coordinated, integrated and efficient railway. Atkins also developed a project CAD manual for Bombardier which they can provide to their sub consultants and suppliers.

Atkins are also providing CAD production services for this project which involves producing architectural, building services, civil, railway and structural construction drawings for the Civil Joint Venture responsible for constructing the railway. The construction drawings are being produced in Atkins offices throughout the world from The Project Office in South Africa to Hong Kong and the UK using AutoCAD and Microstation CAD software.

Central Reclamation Phase III
Central reclamation is currently under construction in the hart of the Hong Kong business district. This project comprises of 18 hectares of new reclamation and associated infrastructure works i.e. new highways, drainage, utilities, pumping stations and the relocation of the landmark Star Ferry piers.

Atkins are providing CAD production services for this project which involves producing the architectural, building services, civil and structural construction drawings for the reclamation works and associated infrastructure works. The construction drawings are being produced in Hong Kong using Microstation CAD software.

San Tin Interchange
San Tin Interchange involves the design and construction of a new elevated interchange to relief traffic congestion on the main haulage route to and from the mainland.

Atkins are providing CAD production services for this project which involves producing highway, civil, and structural construction drawings. The construction drawings are being produced in Hong Kong Microstation CAD software.

Shatin to Central Link
Shatin to Central Link is a new KCRC Railway Link comprising of 20km of railway in tunnel with 10 new stations, 1 depot, and the major upgrading of 2 existing stations to accommodate the new link.

Atkins are providing CAD Management support for this project integrating CAD into the core project team based in the clients project office and utilizing CAD as an integral project coordination tool.

Atkins are also providing CAD production services for this project which involves producing architectural, building services, civil, railway and structural scheme design drawings. The scheme design drawings are being produced in the clients project office and Atkins Hong Kong office using Microstation CAD software.
