Atkins has and continues to provide a broad spectrum of services with respect to CLP's existing generating power stations in Hong Kong , in particular Castle Peak Power Station, which has been in operation for over 25 years. The services provided include; the review of two water treatment plants, the refurbishment of oil pipelines, the review of specifications for out sourcing the coal handling plant and a study to determine, which reagents to adopt, and in which form, and how the by-products may best be put to market for the Emissions Control Project.

Atkins has had a long association with tunnelling in Hong Kong and has played a significant role in the design and construction of a significant number of CLP and HKE cable tunnels. Atkins is also currently involved with a 400kV route selection study, the first in Hong Kong in over a decade, which comprises both new overhead line and transmission tunnels. In addition, Atkins is designing a number of major new substations for CLP. Supporting both clients and contractors, we deliver the complete service, encompassing all aspects of feasibility, design and project delivery.
